The Cabin – Part 2 (After)

The Cabin is done and we turned it into a cute little house. As expected, the exterior took majority of the time.

The original retaining wall turned out to be three (that’s 3) “layers” of retaining walls. Yes, the previous experts were trying to dress it up and make it new three times, without demo-ing and removing the existing structure. Very first layer – field stone, next layer was heavy layer of concrete over it and the third layer … even more concrete. Oh yeah, it was quite deep as well.

We extended the retaining wall over the opening, what seemed to be a very old driveway on the front. We built new fence along the retaining wall for safety. Poured new concrete steps.

The interior received a “standard” treatment. Here are the pictures:

There you have it. What a cutie. It sold for full asking price within a first week on the market.
